Gas Turbine Parts Planning and Maintenance
DMS uses our sophisticated AMS software applications to provides gas turbine professionals with the power to make better maintenance decisions. Our innovative methods enables our consultants to quickly model individual power plants or fleet-wide gas turbine facilities completely analyzing the demand for parts and services. We support:
- CSA/LTSA/MMP negotiations and renegotiations
- Evaluation of multiple operating scenarios
- Ongoing evaluations to ensure continual savings on maintenance agreements
- Ongoing support for self-maintenance facilities
DMS supplies clients with a quantifiable approach to evaluating the costs of current OEM maintenance contracts (CSA or LTSA) with the aim of lowering costs of combustion turbine maintenance. We determine the optimal needs of your fleet as it is currently operated with existing inventory and installed parts.
DMS models fleets from the COD of your first engine to as many years as needed. We compare the costs of various scenarios, including 3rd party parts, 3rd party service, self-managed service, OEM parts agreements, etc. Our models use our client’s business rules, operational parameters and parts information to provide unique solutions for each client.
Reduces Cost : A primary objective of a comprehensive evaluation of maintenance and inventory needs is to reduce the cost of maintenance and inventory needs for a fleet of combustion turbines. This is accomplished by through better information during negotiations or renegotiations of current OEM agreements, or by instituting a level of self-managed maintenance.
Negotiation & Renegotiation Support: Using DMS to quantify the underlying structure of a proposed or current OEM agreement provides substantial strength to any negotiations. DMS also works closely with LTSA legal experts to fully evaluate a proposed or current maintenance agreement.
Self-Managed Maintenance: An alternative to complete maintenance agreements is a parts agreement and owner-managed maintenance. OEMs and 3rd party parts manufactures will supply parts based on a parts-purchase plan where the owner determines the timing of their own maintenance, purchases and inventory needs. Using our service to determine maintenance and inventory needs can result in substantial savings over a comprehensive OEM maintenance agreement. |
